Ed Levin was ROCKIN' today!

Looks like today was the day for flying at not so Sled Heaven!. I got there about 9:15, Karl showed up a few minutes later then Mike Jefferson & Carmela showed up soon after that. Winds were around 15+ at launch I think a little SSW. Mike J launched a tandem flight and I launched a few minutes later. Tons-o-lift everywhere! I soon climbed to about 500 over launch and headed for Mission. Getting there was no problem and once there I had to keep bringing it down to stay out of fog that kept rolling by. I played around at Mission for a bit along with Mike J, circled the windsock then headed back to Levin. It did take a bit to get back as the wind was picking up and more southy although I was still 200' above launch when I got by launch. No problem staying up except once I started sinking out and was about 500' under launch, zoomed to the 1200' and climbed back up the ridge again. Top altitude was 1050' above launch, got there many times! After about two hours I was getting too cold and brought it in, having to keep it pulled in and spiraling to get down as whenever I would slow down I would get pushed back up. I was surpirised how smooth the LZ was as I brought it in and nailed the freshly mowed H4 spot. Thanks to Karl for the ride up and the wire help at launch from him & Carm. :D :D
